Hot Rolled Coil (HRC)

Rolled on hot strip slabs from the mills, hot rolled (HR) coils are available in the market in both coil and sheet forms, and are further processed into finished products by the manufacturers. The hot rolled coils can have a width of up to 2,000 mm with a thickness ranging from 1.4mm to 25mm.

The scope of hot rolled coils extends to a variety of industrial applications. They can be used as a feedstock for cold rolled and coated coils, and as steel tubes used in transport, construction, shipbuilding, gas containers, pressure vessels, and energy pipelines. Hot rolled sheets with distinctive characteristics like diamond/teardrop patterns and anti-slip surface are also used for coating stairs, industrial floors, and tailboards for goods vehicles.

Hot Rolled Plate

Hot rolled plates are manufactured by hot rolling steel slabs to form plates. The typical thickness of a hot-rolled plate varies between 8 mm to 120 mm, with a maximum achievable width of 3000 mm. These plates are extracted from the Coil at the Plant CTL machine, which grants them a superior level of flatness. The hot rolled plates also come with a tamper-proof packaging with liner markings, and have flat surfaces with no irregularities that can be customized as per user needs. For these distinguishing factors, the hot rolled plates have been branded as the “True Steel” from JSW.

Every set of the JSW True Steel Hot Rolled Cut-to-Length sheets is manufactured with cutting-edge technology, and promises users superior finish and world-class quality. These plates are used in shipbuilding, pressure equipment, and in construction industries. JSW True Steel plates are available in Low Carbon, Medium Carbon, HSLA, and API (up to X-80) grades, amongst others.
